Good Egg AwardThe SPCA Blue Tick is proud to announce the very first Compassion in World Farming Good Egg Awards in New Zealand. The Good Egg Awards rewards companies for sourcing cage-free eggs in the course of their operations.

The inaugural SPCA/Compassion in World Farming Good Egg Awards celebrate companies who are using only cage-free eggs or egg products, or committing to do so by 2012.

In order to be in the running for this year's Good Egg Awards, please fill in the application form icon(201.05 kB) and send it back to us by 25 July 2011.

 

Eligibility & Criteria

You will need to be a food manufacturer or hospitality business based in New Zealand which can satisfy the criteria:

  1. Eggs are from only cage-free hens (i.e. barn, free-range or organic) or you are committed to source only cage-free eggs by 31 December 2012. Eggs from enriched cages will not be accepted.
  2. Supermarkets are eligible for a ‘Commendation Award’ if they sell only cage-free own label shell eggs, or are committed to doing so by 31 December 2012.
